Dan-Mircea Mirea is a MindCORE Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his PhD in Psychology at Princeton University, where he worked in the Niv Lab and the Logic of Emotion Lab, and studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. He will join the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in summer 2027.

His research examines the psychology of mental health in the digital age along two lines: understanding the psychological processes underlying mental health and psychotherapy to improve treatment outcomes, and understanding how digital technologies affect mental health in order to design better digital experiences. He uses controlled and field experiments, large-scale digital behavior, cognitive modeling, and large language models.
